Yesterday I replaced my front rotors and brake pads on my 04 impala, saved myself about $100 or so. The bolts that held the caliper bracket on were a mofo to get off, had to use a 1/2 driver breaker bar and liquid wrench to get them loose.

Time to do that again on my wife's 2011 Toyota . . .

Today on this episode of workin on chit we replaced the rear leaf springs on my 2010 Ram 3500 dually. The rear springs seemed to have lost some strength. It came stock with 2800lb springs per side. I upgraded to 3500lb springs. The timeline goes as follows.
This past Monday I called Tulsa auto Spring and placed my order. They called at noon:30 today and said they were in. I pulled the truck in my shop at 1:15. Old springs were out by 2:20. Wife left my shop at 2:30 with one of the old springs and went to pick up new ones. Wife arrived at my shop with new springs about 4. @blake711 arrived at my shop around 4:10ish. Blake and I pulled my truck out of shop about 6:10. That weren’t bad at all I didn’t think. Had to jack my trailer up about two inches so I guess that’s about how much lift I got. I did reuse the old overload leaves. THANKS AGAIN @blake711 !

Time to do that again on my wife's 2011 Toyota . . .

Speaking of Toyota's, at 73,000 miles on the 2016 Tundra the factory brake pads finally hit the squeakers. Pulled the front tires as that is where 70% of the braking takes place and was amazed that 80% of the pads were remaining. Put the wheels back on and went to the rear. That is where the pads were worn. An hour later with some Wagner pads I was back on the road.
I'm not understanding why the lack of wear on the front with probably normal wear on the rear that needed replaced. The truck spends a lot of time on the road with a trailer/tractor behind it or the 8500 lb RV with air bags and weight distributing hitch.
I do a ton of braking with the engine by downshifting well in advance of a stop.

The rear brake pads showed very little wear . . . I had planned on changing them too, but just had to do the front.

Today’s episode of workin on chit featured building and installing a new set of stirrup leathers for a customers saddle. He had gotten all he could out of one side(it was broke plum in two) and he was down to about 4% life on the other side.
