Just watching him handle his gun doesn't give me a bunch of confidence in his knowledge.

He posted a 14 minute video basically to say that Colt's response was they told him to send them the gun. I kind of anticipated that's what they were going to tell him. DUH!

I understand that he paid $1500 (assumption) for a gun that doesn't work right, but he asks what do I think he should do? SEND COLT THE DANGED GUN!

Hickock45 on the other hand has a ton of credibility.

I would almost bet there's a screw adjustment on the leaf spring that will fix the light hammer strikes. That or there's a burr somewhere that somehow slightly impedes the hammer fall, but I think it will be an easy fix.

The cylinder lockup is a little more of a concern, but none of this really makes me want one much less. Sure I'd be annoyed at having to send it back, but that's what I would do. I'd probably trust this specific gun after a repair more than I would a new one that might have the same problem. I would see if there's a local Colt Authorized gunsmith who could look at it rather than return it, if possible. If not, I'd send it back.

I have no concerns that Colt will fix his gun, and figure out what's going on, and eliminate this problem in future production. He is justified in being annoyed, but should not post any videos about Colt's response, until he actually gives them the opportunity to respond. THEN I want to know what happened.

I understand the guys problem, but he's a bit of a whiner.

+1 I don’t think I would want to be around him on the the firing range either(hazardous to his and everyone else’s health).

Take this FWIW... I've seen a couple of videos now of Colt's VP at the SHOT show, who claims they have received RMA request for about 5 out of 2000 Python's they've shipped, and some of those were cosmetic flaws.

If that's true, it's interesting that 2 of the 5 went to youtube guys.

But... just reporting what they said

I thought the same thing as well when I viewed those videos.
