I have the 3-9x50 Crossfire II And compare it to the 99 dollar Nikon 3-9x40.

After hunting with it for a few days and in the low light and with sun in my eyes and i the wee hours of the evening I prefer the Nikon.
I was getting some blur around the edges of the glass on the Crossfire. Not on the Nikon.
When sun got in my front view or set over the trees there was some ghosting or glare that made getting correct eye position a bit hard.
At the darkest legal time to shoot the Nikon was crisper if held on a deer at 175 yards you could make it out very well when hiding in sort of dark cover. the Crossfire was a bit duller image.
But during the day the Crossfire looked crisp and held zero just fine.
If you are shooting targets during the day it will be a good one.
Not that the model I have was what you are looking for.
I thought I liked it better than the Nikon until the sun began to set.

Better glass for the money than crossfire imo. Vortex has built in cost to each scope to pay for their warranty. I think in anything less than diamondback your not getting your moneys worth as there is better glass for the money.
Nikon sadly is getting out of the scope business but their rimfire scopes are great for the money imo. I have a the 3x9 and 4x12 both. If your goal is to get the smaller objective like the crossfires 32 you will have to look at other options. Still I think for the budget you can do better.
If you want a 32mm objective you may look at Konus. Their spotting scopes are pretty popular for the price range they serve. I have one and it impressed me enough to by one of their scopes. I have a konuspro 6-24x50 on my M12 bench rifle and its been flawless.
They make a couple scopes with 32mm objective and the price is very inexpensive.

Ditto this. No complaints about mine. I paid just over $100 for my 3-9 and my 4-12. There are a number of cheap and decent scopes out there, I think the Vortex is a no brainer, personally. If I were buying another cheap scope for something, I'd go Vortex any day.
I dont have that one, but I have been happy with every Vortex product I've owned.
Vortex is good and solid for the price. Is it a $1,000 scope or even a $800 optic? Nope. But is it solid, well built and durable? Yes, yes it is.

I don't have a Crossfire but have heard really good things.

It certainly meets my needs for a .22 rifle that is going to be shot at short ranges most of the time. If I wanted a powerful scope to mount on a long range centerfire rifle, it would for sure not be my choice, but for my little rimfire gun to mostly poke holes in paper, it does the trick.
