I seem to remember reading those that have a second infection are from a mutated strain of the virus. Don’t take that as fact but that’s my recollection.
What I read said nothing about a mutated strain. They just said you sure as **** can get it twice, though not quite so elegant as I.

This was on FOX, and I have been noticing they have the many of the same articles and vids up from last week so if you read that on another site, I dont know. I haven't heard any mention about a strain mutation at all though

As a reference, the Surgeon General is quoted as saying we are now where Italy was two weeks ago.

From Fox News

“We have a choice to make as a nation: Do we want to go the direction of South Korea and really be aggressive and lower our mortality rates, or do we want to go the direction of Italy?”

ITALY'S CORONAVIRUS CASES SEE LARGEST DAILY JUMP; DEATH TOLL TOPS 1,800

The number of coronavirus cases in Italy, described as the pandemic's epicenter in Europe, surged higher on Sunday, recording over 3,500 cases in its largest single-day increase of infections to date.

Italy’s Civil Protection chief Angelo Borrelli announced the 3,590 new COVID-19 cases topped the previous day’s increase by nearly 100. The total number of cases jumped to over 24,700.

The number of deaths increased Sunday by 368 to 1,809.

Personally, I think if you had the funk that was going around in November and December, you've already had it. You now got the antibodies to defend against a second infection. I had that funk over Christmas for 3 days of real symptoms, then about 6 weeks of light scratchy cough. It was mostly over for by beginning of February. I still dont feel quite right but feeling good enough
I had that funk about the same time. First of December and hit again at New Years day and I finally got better by the end of January. Tickling irritated throat, slight fever, dry cough and stuffed up sinus but I always have that. Two visits to the doctor who didn't flu test me or really know what it was, said it was just something going around. It was really different than anything I've ever had.

I'm 71 and it didn't kill me so maybe it wasn't the beer virus.

I'm afraid that this virus is much bigger than anyone thinks, even our medical authorities are stymied. Economic abyss awaits, many restaurants, stores, etc still have to make mortgage payments without income and that is very difficult. They'll have no choice but to go bankrupt if it lasts several months. Couple that with thousands upon thousands of companies that will no doubt suffer-airlines, trucking, etc. About the only business that won't suffer are grocery stores. This has the making of an international disaster the likes of which we've never seen during our lifetime.

Damn I wish I had money to invest. If you are going to hoard, solid stocks would be the best bet.
