I have an Winchester 94 xtr big bore. I needing someone who could fix a crack on tang. I tryed looking for a new stock but only ones I find are angle eject or unchecked. Any suggestions on a smith that could do the repair. Located Tahlequah

It's hard to tell the extent of the damage. Is it just on the surface or does it go further in?

While I appreciate the mention, I'm not sure I want to get into doing this for hire. It's one thing to do your own gun, but when doing it for someone else and you mess up, that's a whole world of liabilities I don't want to deal with. Not to mention the labor involved is usually worth more than what most people are willing to pay.

Just the surface as far as I can tell I took it off and didn't see a crack inside where tang inlets into stock

Think I would just squirt (wick) some thin CA (superglue) into the crack and be done with it. If I was ambitious I might cover it with some plastic wrap (won't stick to the glue) and try to press the piece back down flush. Might need a little cleaning up but should work.
