I don’t know what it’s like to be a cop, but it seems like a bad idea to send a good joke or a bad joke through official email to every cop, clerk, administrator and mop bucket boy in the police department.
It’s what they call unprofessional.

Even if you’re not a cop it’s a bad idea to send a company wide email with pictures of men in hoods carrying torches, even in jest, and even if the original movie was making fun of moronic racist kkk members. Not everyone is going to get that.

Why expose yourself to that risk in today’s environment for the sake of of a cheap joke? “Reply All” is rarely a good idea by itself as well.

Yep, I learned the hard way what can happen after a friend posted something controversial on her FB and was fired because of it.

Just continues to make me tired of the “They said the ‘N’ word, and it hurt my feelings!”, when people of this ethnic group call each other the same thing, plus the same group can call me ‘Cracker’ or ‘Honky’, but this isn’t racist. Or, insert any group, other ethnicities, LGBTwhatevers, or anything. We just live in a sissy world, where everyone wants to destroy each other, just because you’re not part of their group or share their same beliefs.

And the funniest part about that, no one is still alive from the ‘legal slavery’ days, and I’d bet 90% have no idea why they use that as an excuse to be mad! They just know they were raised to be that way. Nowadays it’s not even that they are mad, they just use it as a cop out. Oh well, I hate to think about what world my grandkids and their kids will have to live in, lol.

We're not talking about slavery, we're talking about the right and wrong of tossing slurs like the N word... There's plenty of people alive affected by this, you included by your annoyance of what you term "they" calling white people cracker and honky but not recognizing it as similar racism. It seems sensitivity isn't limited by skintone.

Agreed totally, my point is, why can’t we as a people, just quit worrying about what others think? I’m not a people person, so I’m not the best to be commenting. I dislike people first, then change my mind later after I see what type person they are. This the only group that I can remember in years, where I enjoy most everyone here. Mostly I’m content to stay in my shop alone, haha.
