Lionel Train Set

This was my dad’s set from many years ago. In fact, the manual is dated 1949 and the card engine Queen has a 1958 calendar on the back.

My mom has been unloading stuff to me and my brothers and she wanted me to take this home with me.

I am. I think I can plug and play with most of it. However a couple of the transfer switches need some new wiring as the insulation is brittle and started shedding when I moved it around. That set has been in the box for over 40 years according to my mom.

My cousin who is older than me, has been collecting, setting up, and playing w/trains for over 60 years...no telling how much he has in them. He loves his hobby.

Yes he builds all the sets(towns) in a extra bedroom over his garage. It has custom backgrounds and builds his own tracks. Spends months or longer ,then tear down and rebuild them.
