An impactful series of first-hand stories that helped me better understand some of the roots of resentment underlying much of the current turmoil. "Fair and balanced" and highly thought provoking. Worth your viewing time.

Used to be that folks could articulate and be try to be persuasive about a subject or topic near and dear to their heart. Now folks just give you a link to a video or web address and say “ yeah, what he says”
Not jabbing at you in particular, everyone does it. btw, I have no thoughts to provoke.

I watched it all the way through then watched his why I'm a Christian video. He is powerful. He is damn scary too. Talking about taking a hammer to his dad's head, learning bomb making skills having a list of people he wanted to kill. Not only kill but skin alive. Wow! what a conversion he has made in his life!

The stories in the video are quite useful because they allow the viewer to experience something most of us have not. Viewing it gave me a much deeper understanding of being illegally abused by the police...or to be more accurate, certain police officers. When you experience this repeatedly and know others in your circle of family and friends experiencing the same, it produces a culture of resentment. The narrator talks about the problem not only of the individual bad officer but the "system" that allows them to continue in their illegal activities. This creates the dry fuel that waits for a spark to be ignited. Resentment against these injustices overwhelms perfectly correct logic and policing statistics arguments. We need to argue about reducing this "fuel load" at least as much as how to shut down riots.

It is extremely tough to be a police officer...I get that too. But until much better solutions for dealing with bad officers are implemented the resentment is there waiting to be manipulated by BLM and their ilk.

Just watched the video, very good. I've understood the resentment from a distance, but he helped bring it closer.

The other side is the resentment blinds people to reality sometimes, seeing police abuse where there is none, and not being able to empathize with the police position.

Now I'm thinking our justice system is in the same boat as our medical system, and immigration system; it sort of works, but it's time for some deep re-thinking.

I don't really see that happening with politics the way they are. But we can hope.

Legal system, not "justice". Just saying...

There's also a lot of resentment building in the white population; being blamed for everything, being told if you're white you're automatically racist, etc.
Now we're having BLM ideals shoved down our throat and told we can't speak against it, BLM put into schools; there will be a backlash of some kind.

Some black americans are seeing thru the BLM facade. This makes me happy.
There's quite a few on youtube, and there's this: https://blackcommunitynews.com/the-real-power-and-purpose-behind-black-lives-matter-movement/

An excerpt:
Whatever legitimacy the “Black Lives Matters” (BLM) movement may have is lost in its funding from one George Soros. Mr. Soros is the major financial source responsible for funding the leftist movement in America. (See link for list of left wing organization funded by George Soros. (http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=977). These left-wing groups supported by Soros have one thing in common: to transform America.

Groups like ACORN and Occupy Wall Street are a disruptive influence in our culture and seek to divide and transform our society into a Marxist design. Linked to this disruptive scheme is Black Lives Matters through Soros support and funds.

I think the BLM plays the poor who have failed themselves both politically and economically by not striving to succeed. I personally have know a lot of black folks that have made life easy for themselves by hard work and sticking to one job over the decades and now they are retired. Those are the ones that BLM cannot control-of course they're the older ones and BLM has the young Whites and blacks who aren't working and probably have never worked because they just don't want to-they make more money dealing than if they were to work.
