Does this mean you have a new Henry in 44? :)
I did!!!

I went on the hunt for ammo yesterday as well, but didn't find anything acceptable (for tube fed) in the box stores. I gave all my .44 mag ammo away to @dennishoddy a while back in the Pay It Forward thread. I didn't think to check pawn shops though, and ended up buying 100 rounds from SGAmmo last night.

I wish good luck to @Honey Badger finding some locally. They might have better success since they aren't limited to options for a tube fed gun like I am.

I have used SGAmmo several times in the past. It just drives me nuts that I live in Ponca City;( an hour away), and can’t go to a store front. I have to pay shipping. Ugh.

Wonder if it would be more beneficial to just reload?

I understand. I'm just SW of OKC. I've placed some ammo orders that would warrant a drive to Stillwater if they'd let us pick them up. Even still, it's not too terribly bad. They have been quick to ship, even during this COVID stuff, and orders arrive in a day or two. I agree though, it'd be nice if we could just go pick it up.

That fine ammo is sitting on my shelf at the moment.
I would be more than happy to pay it backwards as I have recently came across the reloading components and have built a decent stash of plinking and hunting ammo for my .44 mag Super Redhawk and .44 mag Marlin lever gun.
Pm inbound.

you live in Ponca Now? We have a nice range locally to shoot your firearms. Let me know if your interested and I can help guide you getting started reloading
My reloading started with .45 mag and 30-06 in the early 80’s.
Happy to show you how it’s done and let you pull the handle to get a feel of what’s involved.

Folks, this is why I'm glad I found OSA. It's full of good people.

Now Dennis, that ammo better stay with you and get shot! I've got plenty coming, and making plans to begin reloading 44's. I'm good sir, but thank you for the offer.
