Received a response to my FOIA inquiry that was submitted back in February. The pistol was issued to Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment in the 101st Airborne Division from November 2016 until April 2019. I may contact the 1st BN to see if they have any additional records on the pistol. Not sure if it was ever overseas or if it spent its service life at Fort Campbell.

Wait! They’re already selling these things? I thought that they were just now rolling out to units?

There were revisions to the pistol that were requested by the Army. Sig stated that it was only for a change to the color of the controls (black rather than coyote), but I'm sure their were other issues that were addressed as well. Sig had the first batch of pistols returned and sold them through their elite dealers and distributors.

Wow a whole 4 year service life.

Don't hate...:nono1:
