While picking up a few different boxes of 9mm bullets today, I came across a brand I hadn't heard anything about yet. They are a local manufacturer in Chickasaw - NB Reloading Supply. I spoke with the guy at the counter who told me that he's been shooting them lately and really liking them. H&H apparently has at least 1 shooter they sponsor, and they use NB bullets with their loads. A quick google search found their website and facebook page. I decided to grab a box of 124gr RN 9mm. Price was very fair at somewhere around $42 per 500. We'll see how they do. The LGS had way more Xtreme, Acme Hi Tek, and some other company out of AZ or UT - began with a 'G', bullets in stock, but were nearly sold out of these NB's. The guy at the LGS said that they've been selling quite a bit of these NB bullets

Anyone shot these yet?

I'm good friends with the H&H sponsored shooter who uses these bullets and he seems to really like them.
The owner comes to steel challenge matches every once in a while at OKCGC if you ever wanted to chat him up.

Do you need a membership at OKCGC to attend a match, even as a spectator?

Matches are usually open to the public for participation. I don't recall any matches, on any range or discipline, that was members only. But, I could be wrong and hope someone will correct me if that is the case.

Is the shooter the same name as an island in the South Pacific?

Gallant is likely the other one you saw.

Hi-Tek is the coating Acme uses. It is manufactured in Australia. Bayou Bullets is the exclusive importer. Many other companies use this coating including Gallant, Missouri, BBI, SNS, Acme, and many more. Blue Bullets use something similar in their new formula or are using it also.

NB bullet is using powder coat for his bullets.

I really like the Acme bullets

One thing I was going to mention above that I forgot was the Lee Factory Crimp die is sized for normal jacketed bullet diameters. All swaged, plated and cast bullets are normally sized .001" over a jacketed bullet to get a better bore seal. If you run a LEE FCD it will size the bullets inside the case down to jacketed size and that can be bad for accuracy, cause leading, etc. For example if you load a .356 coated or plated bullet and and crimp with a Lee FCD the bullet will be sized to .355" inside the case. This may or may not be a bad thing in your gun but it usually isn't good.
