Every year for as long as I can remember, no issues.

Same here. Despite having taken the shot, I still managed to catch the flu back in Feb of 2019, I think it was. (Got tested and diagnosed with it). I understand that my case wasn't as severe as it could have been without the shot, so I think it at least helped me some. After I got over that, I was diagnosed with pneumonia a few months later...sort of a rough start to the year for me, as I was basically sick from February through early May. I will get one again this year too. I don't buy into any conspiracy theory about it...if some of you do, well, it's a free country; for now anyway.

We haven't gotten ours yet. Our PCP's recommended waiting until the higher dose for us 'old folks' comes out ... expected late this month or early October. I have a check-up in October, so I'll probably get mine then. We've been taking it for years with zero issues.

We got our at CVS last Wednesday, and it was the higher dose for seniors. Basically over 65 and they had it already. CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Kroger, and Albertsons here all have them already and have had for at least a couple of weeks.

I've never had a flu shot before in my life but I'm almost 72 now and with all this other crap going on I thought it was probably not a bad idea. I had absolutely zero soreness in my arm, and had kind of a little bit of a chill one night about two or three days after I got the shot. Other than that had no reaction to it. Wife had a very, very slightly sore arm and that's it.

Seems I have read you don't want to wait too long because there apparently is some concern that supply could run short because of the possible expected increase in demand this year.

Pfffft. Back when the military gave REAL flu shots, you KNEW you got a flu shot (if the gun didn't rip your arm off first).

Had a poor fella couple boots in front of me go down right as they pulled the trigger, opened his arm like a hot knife through butter. Made quite a mess before they plugged it up.

Saw something similar where a guy flinched and had his arm cut open, then walked out bleeding in front of the guys in line to get their shots. Started dropping like flies right there!

Never been sicker than after Uncle Sugar handed out mandatory shots for Hong Kong flu, swine flu, Russian flu, boogie woogie flu and every other flu to come down the pike.

I asked the VA doctor about it a couple of days ago. She said she didn't recommend it due to all the protections already in place this year the chances are even less of contracting it. That was a first. Every doctor has their own opinion and at the VA it's likely I'll see a higher percentage of doctors than most. They have a revolving door on the doctor's entrance.

I haven't had a flu shot in over 25 years and I haven't had the flu since then.

I highly doubt that I will be taking the covid vaccine(s) either.
