Nope it gives you nothing take it from a former Tribal Police officer. Only thing gives you anything is tribal enrollment
How did she get the job if tribal membership is the criteria to get employed? And if they did hire a non-tribal member then they would have told her she had no rights and would be the first to go when they offered her the job.

Tribal membership isn't required to work for tribes. But most tribes give preference to members.

Tribes do whatever they want with anyone they hire. With their administrations changing every couple of years its a crazy place to work for everyone.

My sympathies to the OP.

The thing for her to remember is that the job is gone. There is not another one like it around the corner.

I have a cousin that lost her job. A high paying sales job at a medical supply house. She was making $200k+ per year.
That job was Obamacared out of existence. She went looking for that same job, which didn't exist anywhere.
She declined job after job, because she wanted that high paying job she used to have. She declined jobs making $100k/yr because it wasn't 200k.
As the years (yes, she was unemployed for several years, living off her Mother) went by she finally came to realize she needed to just take any job that paid, to get restarted.

Last I saw her, she was selling lawn care over the phone. The sort of place that sprays your yard every so often.
She had her own apartment, and was doing better. On probably 30k a year.

Yup. Money ain't everything, but you gotta make some decisions to downsize a lifestyle sometimes. Having vehicles paid off saves us a ton over what some of our friends have to pay out. Cheap home, too. No campers, boats, timeshares, lake houses or any of that stuff so many people finance for years so they can use a few weekends a year. Don't get me wrong, if you can afford it, and you work for it, more power to ya. But if I'd gotten my way and bought my wife a new (used) vehicle last year like I tried to convince her to do, we'd have had even more trouble. I gotta admit, she was right.

This year, I will probably make 1/4 to 1/3 of what I made 3 years ago.

I guess on the bright side, Uncle Sam and Auntie Nan won't get near as much out of me this year.
