Got to visit with both McCrosky brothers when I delivered the deer stand and picked up my knives this morning. The picture doesn’t do the knives justice.:thumb:
I'll have to pick up my trapper set with sheaths when Dave gets back from the elk hunt.
I think his brother makes the fillet knives. May have to get one of those on order after looking at them.

I’ve got those same knives. My parents got me the elk for Christmas when I was in my early 20’s. I bought the trapper sets for some gifts (one gift for myself) and have loved them. One buddy did cut the piss out of himself one day when he picked one up to gut a deer. I warned him before, but he said said it was so much sharper than what he was used to it didn’t take anything to cut through the hide. And a large part of his left thumb...

I think Dave told me one time the average 'wound' took seven stitches. LOL! I've been very careful with mine.

Been looking at and drooling over these knives for a couple years but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I’m looking for a good all around do it all knife. Looks like the Elk, curved trapper and butch would be something I’m interested in. What do y’all recommend?

Each knife is designed for a specific task. Talk to Dave and have him help guide your decision.

I have an Elk and Pro Skinner. As much as I love em, I think I would like a Trapper Set better. I plan on ordering on ordering a Trapper Set soon.
