One reason that some are still without power may be that OG&E stated on the news that they have been busy getting power to all of the polling places.

Ending day 7 with no power here. First time I've ever gone this long at home without juice.

The bright side is no structural or property damage other than trees. The place smells great right now with all the wood smoke LOL. Got most of my place done this afternoon and rolled over to the neighbor to see if he needed help....just in time too as he had just got his chainsaw stuck in a large limb.

Just got power back at 4:50. Went out last Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
I’ve had no heat since then and I didn’t die. Wasn’t really uncomfortable either. Just sucks wearing a headlamp when you go to the toilet to take a dump.

It's the little things lol.

After a week, I still flip a light switch when I walk into a room. Habit.

I was out and about several times today. Still haven't seen a OG&E or out of state truck anywhere near our area.

It's over but no power for 4 days and a huge Oak tree took some major damage from the ice. A mowing crew that works the neighborhood came by and said they'd give us a good price and we said we'd think about it. Saw them a couple of days later working down the street and told the head guy that I wanted the broken limbs cut out and he quoted me $800.00! That's a good price-sure! I did most of it myself at 76, crawled up the tree and cut down broken limbs and son came and spent 1/2 hour cutting the higher ones. Watch these people! They're thieves and will take your money back to Mexico!
