I wish things had not been so politicized.

I read something this morning i found interesting.

About 1.4 million Oklahomans (about 35%) live in cities with masking orders and 2.6 million other residents (about 65%) don't have a mask mandate.

Does Tulsa's mask mandate require people to wear them in their offices at work? Even our city one doesn't, though 'common areas' are required.

I'm not sure how far Tulsa's mandate can go with regards to that. I know of several businesses that have incorporated a mask wearing policy when outside of your office or cubicle.

Thanks, was just curious. People keep saying 'why would someone coming to tulsa be a danger if masks are required' but then there seems to be times when the masks aren't actually required. Like when sitting inside church, eating, (possibly) working, etc.

I don't think you can point at any one community and assign blame for the spike. Like anything else, we're just repeating the same pattern, and the law of statistics is what keeps the number growing. So many people that I know have the opinion that since they haven't had it yet, they're not going to get it, so people let their guard down. As more people get exposure to more people, we're bound to spike.

Generally speaking that should still hold true, given how efficient we have been told they are at stopping the virus. However, what's interesting is that the "rules" have been in place for quite a few months, and the numbers never went down significantly, then we have had a significant spike. This was before Tulsa Schools when in person too. So there are some other variables at play it seems. Don't think anything will stop it or slow it much either, outside another lockdown or a vaccine.

Our company goes above and beyond what the city dicktates. The panic is full-on here, and oddly enough, people still get the Wuhan.

I've seen several businesses that have the "Mandated" sign out front, yet no one wears a mask, patrons or employees. Others have completely bought into it and won't let you in without that magic piece of cloth over your mouth.

Universities are looking smart.....before the semester even began they planned to have students stay at home after Thanksgiving break.

Yes, our Universities have long been a source for common sense. College campuses are filled with professors and students alike that know what's best for society.
