The way to put a stop to that is to require a certain number of SUBSTANTIAL POSTS; actual participation. But Okuma doesn't want that, he wants an open classifieds section.

This would be easy to moderate too, and would also prevent the mass PM from a scammer, which is the biggest issue, and the hardest to deal with and catch. It's totally up to one of the users to report the suspicious PM before we even know it's going on, and dozens of PM can be sent out before it ever gets reported.

I know this forum is small when compared to places like Snipershide and Long Range Hunting forum; which you could say are both national/international sites but those sites have advertisements from many of the shooting sports industry leaders. Often representatives or owners from companies like Manners Gun Stocks, Vortex, Bushnell, etc. chime in to answer customer questions or give updates of coming new products.

Now I’m not expecting this type service from Okla. Shooters Assoc. but why isn’t there support from Oklahoma companies like many of shooting ranges, firearm shops, gunsmiths, etc.? We’ve had Ryan Sears from Gene Sears Shooting Sports on here promoting Banner Range but other than that very little repeat action. We have two premier custom rifle smiths here in Oklahoma, Jon Beanland and Stewart Rifles but most wouldn’t know it. Has the site owner reached out to locally owned shooting sport businesses to seek advertisement and/or participation in this forum? I would think a business owner would like to interact here giving information on sales, deliveries, new products, etc.

Maybe the site traffic here is considered too small to generate customers for locally owned businesses or the traffic that is generated is more related to politics, general discussion, and stupid stuff therefore negating businesses interest in advertising here?

If we donate, will we get a "free" knife or bag or maybe one of those jackets with OSA on it? (NRA)
It's well worth donating to this forum if you use it and benefit and if you don't it is just wrong.

What I know is you have 17 posts , 4 in this thread and the rest in classifieds. You use this forum for your benefit , but contribute nothing to the community. Call it having a life or whatever. But the proper term is leech. Then you have the gall to get your panties in a bunch because the site owner ask for a little help with expenses. The worst kind of forum member in my opinion........
Let me correct you. YOU initiated things, as per usual, so you got your silky panties in a bunch and just had to open your mouth and deem another person not as good as you, all high and mighty! People don't contribute because theres always someone like you harassing and sticking your nose in where it doesn't belong. Always having to show how your better than them. So good job your really helping people want to contribute. I mean, its like rolling the dice on any non classified posts here, pretty decent chance someone like old man Saddlebum gonna comment on your post and start drama or call you wrong etc. I among others have experienced this on this site, me personally from my old account. So I know better than to "contribute" to any post you are involved in. My time is far more valuable than yours it seems and i'm done arguing with old fools who have no life and nothing better to do than sit on a forum all day. Learned that lesson years ago.
Again you got something factually wrong: The worst kind of forum remember is someone who always creates drama and divides the community, harasses anyone new or is outside his lil rat pack gang of compadres. That type person sounds familiar....hmmm wonder who it could be......You did this years ago and your still doing it to this day. And some how being allowed to. Your just mad and your panties in a bunch because someone finally called you out on your toxic, elitist personality. Stop starting drama dude seriously. Its pathetic looking at this point in your life. Take the L old man and keep my name outta ya mouth.

OSA needs money to operate. Yep. OSA has a product/products. Yep
OSA gives away its product/products in my opinion.
What are the products? Well, there are the classifieds which is probably how many of us arrived here to begin with. There’s also lots of good ol boys and knowledge to be shared. I got here when googling about gunsafes. I decided to list a rifle for sale. I’ve been around a few years now and get on here several times a day to bs. Sometimes I use the classifieds and sometimes I don’t. I believe the classifieds could be used a the product to generate revenue for OSA. I also believe that some of the other forum categories could be used as “leverage”. I can only speak for myself but I honestly believe I’ve been getting plenty of free milk around here for the few years I’ve been a member. I just became a supporter last week. It needed done sooner but there was really no visible motivation to do so. I’m not really saying that there needs to be new perks to being a supporter. I’m saying that the perks are already here possibly. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?
