First time posting since joining the forum so hope this is correct.

I was running low on unique, so I tried IMR Target in some 45 colt reloads,
they shot really well and cleaner than the unique. There's a little load data for the IMR Target on the Hodgdon website
You did fine. :)

But then I've only been here two years, so I was the new guy until you showed up....:rollingla

I'm a newbie on 45Colt but have been reading allot. Right now I am loading Trail Boss and Tight Group. Used Tight Group for shot shells with the plastic shot holders and TB with 250gr cast. So far so good.

With what is going on right now just about any powder you can get and find load data on will be it. Only gotcha I have read about is some really hot powders with light loads do not take up enough volume in a 45Colt case and you will get different results depending on whear the powder is when it goes bang.

I also like little gun 296 h110 in tiger Blackhawk and Winchester 1894 higher pressure loaded not to be taken lightly but have more energy than 44 mag

I load to the 45 colt ( Ruger/ TC)
Accurate No 9
It allows for a 240 grn, 250 and 300 grn.
Safe in the Marlin 1894s and Winchester model 94 rifles.
250 grn at 1250' /sec
Lot to hold onto in a Ruger! Lol
