The local gun store makes a profit on every sale, OSA doesnt so this is apples and coconuts comparison at best.
I been flipping guns for years
There is no risk if you u derstand the market and thats so easy a caveman can do it

Coming from your previous comments, as well as many others, I'd say that there's plenty of people that want to make a profit on OSA sales. Technically the difference is that the website doesn't get a cut --- the seller retains any gain or loss. A good chunk of the newbies just think that the board is full of idiots that don't understand what things are worth and so they swing for the fences on pricing so they stick out.

The other day when buying a shotgun barrel from @CHenry i was invited inside because it was cold outside. That spoke volumes to me and meant a lot, honestly. Myself, if it wasn’t someone established, I wouldn’t have considered it. Showing yourself to be a part of the community brain shows yourself to be a little more trustworthy than the average schmuck off armslist.
I have met 3 different folks at my house. Some came inside, but no matter I will not invite a member with 2 post inside my house or even to have my address. @bigred1 you and another who was a fairly new member but I had spoke to him at length and felt safe inviting him and he was golden. You all had my address and I wasnt worried about anything. All 3 deals went silk smooth and a little idle visiting took place and it was done in 5-10 minutes.
New guys have to earn their way in any aspect of life, period. Dont believe me, join a fraternity and find out.

I have no idea what your point is. I have flipped guns from gun shows to armslist and OSA as well as other sites. Whats your point exactly?

Be careful --- feelings and voicing opinions are what the left does and that doesn't go to well round these hurr parts.

But seriously, in my opinion, in the world, no one, or a very very small percentage of people, really care. It's always about the money. I've got family that's all but abandoned me because I don't share the same political or religious beliefs as they do. I've worked places with some great people that abandoned me as soon as I left. There's a lot of good times to be had on OSA, whether trolling the dumbs that think I'm serious all the time or having actual discussions, but I'm also pretty aware there's probably not a single person on the board that would legitimately, truly miss me if I was to die today. For all the "family" talk, I've been told I should be buried in people's lakes, should go jump off a cliff, that the world won't miss me, etc etc on here plenty. Not a real family feeling.

Not trying to debbie down the board or the folks here, but that's just the way it is IMHO. How we react to that varies. We could encourage people to come along for the giggles, we could add them to ignore lists, we could silently laugh and be happy that maybe we get the chance at the "deals". Whatever. If it ain't hurting anyone then let it go. I sure bet that most people have found this site by the classifieds. If anyone wants to move out from there they can, or if not then again, is it hurting anything?

I joined back in the day when there was a min post count. That was back in the day when I didn't know near what I do now. If I remember right, even back then it was hard to join a discussion or ask questions because a lot of folks on here always know more, are always right and love to be snarky about it. I'd venture that it's worse now. Heck, I know it's worse now --- I play to that to get people going when I'm bored. Point being that getting in the initial posts was an exercise. But I'm like you --- on one hand I kinda feel like there should be a minimum and I also kinda feel like it should be open.
you are one messed up individual.

Thanks for proving my point... really goes to show the community so many folks in the thread talk about. I bet noobs totally want to stick around a forum with digs like that flying around.
Real men stick it out and take the slight hazing that may come and overcome it without whining like a B***h.
We all know where you stand in that scenario

They arent OSA sales LMFAO. OSA simply offers the platform. Dont abuse it if your a newb with 2 posts. Most guns I have bought and flipped were from just exactly those folks.

You're much smarter than I am, from what you've told me in the past, so I figure that'd be pretty evident. Your post indicates that a big difference is profit, but there's just as much profit motivation in our classifieds as there is at any local gun store. Your follow-up asking what I meant proves it again --- you want to flip for a profit. Again the difference is that OSA the website doesn't get a cut. At a LGS they keep the profit.

you are one messed up individual.
That's your opinion. Does it matter that much?

I knew you'd get sand in your lady parts if I quoted you you big boy "real man". Perhaps you missed the part of the discussion on the thread about community and wanting people to be a part of it. Well, most folks don't tend to stick around an unwelcoming place. That's pretty simple dude.

Also, you might note there's a handy button for multi-quotes. It's quite handy.

Listen, in any circle you walk up and try to be part of, be it a public clique or internet, one has to fit in. Thats a concept only a real man can comprehend and overcome. Think about highschool or JR high, for the first experience most see, if you want to be accepted, ya dont walk in all full retard and get far.

The funny part, real man, is that should you want to talk about masculinity, then being true to one's self is always going to trump trying to fit in with others. That's why your so adorable to me --- you think I care. I'm true to me and my family and don't care what "bois" like you think. So quit puffing your chest trying to be so big and bad all the time and chill out a bit.
