They have PayPal. Been a while since I accepted PayPal. Do they still charge me as the seller for transferring the fund to me? Back when it was 3% I think
If PayPal catches you moving money related to firearms and/or Ammo they will freeze those funds and hold them
So be careful.

Impossible to build a bigger community if you do not welcome new people. I have no issue with dealing with new folks as long as they seem legit. I interact with them quite a bit before I meet them, especially for firearms. I also have no issue with saying no thank you and moving on.

I read this thread with interest as I was the second offer on Mr. crrcboatz's scope. His only response to me was "You have no feedback and no threads sir. That makes me uncomfortable!" Clearly the banner shows I have two positive feedback events in which he didn't see. (green box in each person's banner indicates positive feedback and can be clicked on to see the details).

There is no doubt I am a new member and I understand any concern with new members given what is happening in the shooting community. In all due respect to Mr. crrcboatz, who is both a long time member of this forum and a site supporter, I felt he jumped to a quick conclusion about my potential intentions. As a result, I really appreciated the comment to him in this thread "Impossible to build a bigger community if you do not welcome new people."

Finally, what a great opportunity to introduce myself! Life long Oklahoma resident who loves shooting, reloading, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. I am a graduate of OSU (Go Pokes!) and a member of Oil Capital Gun Club.

I want to close with a thank you to Mr. ccrboatz, I have been pondering the reasons to become a site supporter and now the catalyst exists to become a financial supporter within the OKShooters.com community. Stay tuned!

See you at the Range!

GM. I meant no harm to you with those comments. I just have never sold anything here to someone who appeared to be disconnected from our site other than to buy something. The site offers far more than that sir. So far no one here has commented they know you. That is telling. I suggest you do exactly what you said you’d do, get to know us! In today’s world it is a prudent to practice pause, especially on line. Again I meant you no harm. Rather my pause was to protect myself in lieu of knowing more about the buyer first. I stand by that action as it’s not my job as the seller to establish buyer credibility. I sincerely hope you join in discussions and get to know the great guys you’ll find here. Just being a buyer tells me little else

I completely understand. I took no offense and you did not cause me any harm. Thank you for your comments back....

I read the above posts by both @CapnD and @crrcboatz with a smile on my face. Stuff like this makes me proud to be an OSA'er. Thanks Guys, for bringing a little sunshine in on a cloudy, cold winter day.

Unfortunately, we have had an influx of Scammers on OSA, particularly over the last several months. We've had a few members get taken by these crooks, where they sent money, but never received the item they thought they were getting. We've posted notices to alert folks to these bad guys. I myself have said several times that it is prudent to deal with established members with good feedback in order to avoid getting snookered. Reputation is important to most of us I believe. Example: I have never personally met @crrcboatz, but I "know" him from his participation and would have no qualms whatsoever in doing a transaction with him. I also think that @CapnD is gonna prove to be alright; I mean, he not only answered in a polite and well written post, but he became a site supporter too! That alone leads me to believe he's not a bad guy, seeking only to lurk around in the hopes of cheating somebody! We're happy to see that you've joined us, it's all about the Community here at OSA. Welcome.

I have been a member since 2010, and have made a good number of deals, of all sorts, here, and a few of those have been with fairly new members. I have never had a bad outcome, and have met so many good folks in the process. There have been a few times when I did have a "friend" or two along for the ride, and a few times where we did meet at PD or such.

I'm in Dallas this week, but I may indeed do a buy from a new member next week after I return.
