I am convinced many people are totally controlled by their phones. I was at my Daughters indoor soccer game today and as I broke my attention from the game play and looked right for a moment, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Not one other parent watching their child play.
Really sad.

At least they aren't the parents that are yelling for 108% of the game at what their kid should do along with other kids. You know a normal kid only gets 3% of the touches in the time of the game on average. Also they are dedicated enough to sit in there and freeze their ass off after driving junior to the game, not to mention the average cost to have a kid play sports with paid coaches and trainers. Okay okay I will stop now.

I think it has a big part of our problem. A new form of Latch Key Kids! Kids that are sitting in front of or beside parents and they are ignored big time! I’ve spoken up to my daughter who has my grandkids about it.

We see it at Restaurants bad, parents with kids, so called grownups sitting at the same table! I cannot fathom what it is doing to us. I really cannot imagine if my parents and more so my grandparents did that much ignoring back in my youth.

Yep. You should stop now. Be a parent and stay engaged. Anyone can be a chauffeur. When your child turns around to look at you they wanna see your face not the back of your phone. Put down that handheld crack pipe and stay engaged in these moments of life. These distraction devices are turning millions of folks into slaves and addicts.
