Fourteen years racing the circuit without a win. Leads one single lap in the race but it's the one that counts.

First win ever and it's the Daytona 500!

Honestly, watched very little of the race but was kinda rooting for Derek Cope. Dudes got to be getting up there in years. He’s a past 500 winner by luck. It was good to see his name though.

I was flipping channels around waiting for it to get near the end. I rarely watch an entire race anymore. The weird rule changes over the years have ruined it for me.

Agreed, ‘the chase’ ruined it for me. Let the race balls out from the first green flag to the last checkered flag.

That's why I like F1 racing with open wheels. They run in the rain and if they bump someone, they are out as well. None of this pushing and shoving.
Open wheel racing is the bomb for racers, not so much for spectators.

Good for Loves! Can't stand their diesel, but happy for a local company to get the spotlight. McDowell been running forever, good for him also.
You’d think they could be more competitive with their pricing. I guess bein a full truck stop gives em the ability to charge more.
I’m happy for their win though. I was pullin for Hamlin. I had about given up on seein a caution come out in last 10 laps. It happened just right for Loves.

Tough biz. They do usually run a little higher than competitors. One thing that I notice from Loves tho, everything typically works. Don't remember a pump not functioning or long lines at the register.
The diesel blend they have is brutal. My pickup doesn't care for it and my diesel shop heater will not run. I'm guessing running a high blend, 80/20.
Their newer stops are nice. Out west they have some nice stores.
