I have not read this entire thread, Lord have mercy on our souls.
All I have is anecdotal observations, but I feel pretty sure I know why the number is going down in Oklahoma at this time.
It's because college football season is behind us.
They've been telling people for about a year now, not to gather up indoors -- but that seemed to be lost on college football fans.
Every game day, the streets were piled full of cars in front of houses where friends and family gathered up with food and drink to watch the big game (and every single contest that YOUR team plays in, is the "big game").
And you damn well know they couldn't have been wearing masks while swilling beer (or soda) and chomping on Doritos and pork rinds, in between bouts of screaming at the television, "THAT WAS A TOUCHDOWN! THOSE REFS ARE ALWAYS AGAINST US!"
And I don't trust football fan COVID patients to self report whether or not they were social distancing.
Who is gonna admit, after being told over and over and over not to gather up indoors and to use social distancing, that you decided to pack everybody in front of the flat screen TV for hours, breathing all over each other while watching the football game?

Always check with your personal doc first. But Our docs have been generally recommending prophylactic daily vitamin c & d, zinc, melatonin, Pepcid. If you do get sick & test positive, then start aspirin & get an oximeter. If your sats drop, then they start steroids. Some hospitals have sent people home on oxygen from the ER, if on low dose (1-4LPM). We are giving convalescent plasma & monoclonal antibody infusions, but usually as an inpatient. Census has been dropping recently which is good news

I don't hear of the Covid positives being sent home with only a suggestion of "go to the ER if you feel like you are dying. I hear of Covid positives getting 2 or 3 prescriptions.
That in itself will have significant impact on the number of hospitalizations.

Note: I didn't say it is the only reason for the lower numbers.

When I tested positive I was told to take vitamin C&D, lot of rest, lot of water and to go to my Dr if I thought it was getting to my lungs. I wasn’t given any prescription.

Wife and I evidently have had it as both lost sense of smell and most taste with zero health issues. Slowly coming back.
We have taken the 1st shot of Modura and will get the second tomorrow morning.

Yep. Was told this + Zinc. I was already taking all this as a preventive.
