Well, until last Tuesday our car was a 2017 Kia Soul, which replaced our 2010 Kia Soul. I was not impressed with the 2017 model. After one year the rear bushings started to squeak when going slow over a bump and in the last year the front end would make a clunk noise when going over bumps. Each time we took it in for an oil change I would complain about it, and the wankers would always say they could find nothing wrong. Well, wife finally wanted something different so we started looking around at all the small SUV's. We narrowed it down to either a Subaru Crosstrek, Hyundai Kona, Toyota Rav4 or possibly the new Chevy Bronco. We decided to look at the Crosstrek first as we had a Subaru dealership right by our house. Figured out the rear cargo space was not enough but my wife had inquired about a Forester she saw had just been delivered. We test drove a different one (the one she was interested in hadn't gone through its delivery inspection yet) and she fell in love with it. So, we are now owners of a 2021 Subaru Forester. The ride is 1000 times better than the Soul, has more room, actually saved me money on insurance, and has more features than DC has corrupt politicians! So many features that the owners manual is about 6 inches thick. The guy in the pic isn't me, its the salesperson we were working with (absolute great guy, wasn't pushy, knew he stuff). If you are looking into a Subaru and live in/near Broken Arrow, go to Ferguson Subaru.

When you get into the mountains around Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana, those vehicles are very common for a reason. They work in the snow. I don't know about the bells and whistles, but they are sure popular in that area.

Yep. My Crosstrek is better in the snow than my F150 4X4. Only exception is ground clearance. In ALL other respects there's no comparison between the two even with Yokohama street tires. The "Symmetrical AWD" is farking awesome! It's fun to drive too.

I've wondered about that "symmetrical AWD". How does it work vs the now electronic locker used in the new F-250's which works very well.

The TLDR is that it has an electronically controlled viscous coupling that can vary the ratio of power between the front and rear drive axles. It works quite well.

Where they bust the sod in South Tulsa County.
Congrats on the new Fozzie. I bought mine 3 years ago and couldn't be happier. I wanted a base model with CVT (minimal electronics) and bought from the dealer in CO Springs and had it trucked to my home. I immediately put A/T tires on it. I found drivability is best when I use mid-grade pure gasoline.

My wife has a 2015 Forester the same color. Her has about 55,000 miles on it and never given us any trouble. Me, I've always wanted the WRX STI with about 800 HP ( it takes some work to get there). You made the right choice.
