Got me a new ride

We have a 2014 Forester with 92K miles that is the wife's car. She wanted 4wd when we bought it, but I convinced her she did not need something that got 10-15MPG... Drove the Forester and she fell in love with it... Works great in snow. No complaints whatsover.. Gets pretty good gas MPG (25-30)up till about 80MPH then drops off to low 20s after that.... Also that boxer engine will get up and go when needed to pass cars on 2 lane roads.. Will probably get another when the time comes..

Thanks everyone. Wife absolutely loves it, and I like it pretty well. The only odd thing to get used to is the keyless everything. You only need your fob with you and thats it. You walk up and touch the driver's side door handle, it unlocks. You get in, put your foot on the break and hit the start button, it starts. You hit the start button to turn it off, get out and grip the door handle, it locks. I keep looking for the key when I go to shut if off or try to get the key to pop out of the key fob. Other than that its been a fun driver. Especially like the suspension with how bad the roads have gotten in Tulsa/BA.

I bought a 2019 Outback Premium new from Ferguson Subaru 2 years ago. Excellent buying experience. The Outback/Forrester/Ascent SUV series has exceptional ground clearance. Subaru's symetrical AWD system is awesome. Tested the AWD out thoroughly on wet roads and snow; will get you there and back when other most vehicles can't even get out on the roads.

I deliberately bought an Outback WITHOUT moon roof, electric rear gate and navigation. All makes have problems with these, including Subaru. What's not on the car cannot cause problems. Also got the standard key ignition, likewise to avid problems that the fobs can bring. Added certain key features, such as auto dimming outside mirrors and Subaru remote start, to make it more safe and pleasant. I get 26 mpg around town and 32 mpg on the open road.

Some folks add lift kits and change rims/tires. Skid plates and other features are available if you plan to get on the roads less traveled.

Congrats! We got my wife a new car last week as well. AWD are hard to find in a sedan but we found one she really likes. Kia K5 awd GT Line. 10 year 100K warranty was hard to ignore as well.

I got their 6 year, bumper to bumper everything warranty, so IF those problems occur, they are covered. And wouldn't you know it, 3 days after purchase I got a call from Cindy about my car's warranty expiring. I actually took that call, and acted all confused and told her it couldn't be expiring soon. Finally I said "I just bought the *$)%$ car 2 days ago!". She hung up on me lol.
