Yeah well, THIS is exactly what I saw coming, and my answer would be not no but:hellno:.

No offense, but I’ve already got to many hangers on with family and friends that are always offering to help me thin the does or take out a “cull buck”.:rolleyes2
You will never survive without me!!! :)

In my dealings with the public in over 20 years of self employment, I find that many “non religious” folks conduct themselves a heck of a lot more Christ-like than my professed “Christian” customers. In other words, I’ve been screwed in business more times by “Christians” than non-Christians.:censored:

In the scenario being discussed, I don’t think religious affiliation will make an ounce of difference when it comes to personal survival. I hope I’m wrong but would bet I’m right.:anyone:

Sadly this has been my experience also.

I've seen a number of those books - and a lot of them are chock full of total ********.

But people will believe what they want to believe.

I've seen upclose and personal the mess people make when they think they are smart enough to play veterinarian on an animal. I can only imagine what it's like when they play doctor on a person.

Part of the dream I had about this is if I win the lotto big there will be as well an equipped clinic as I can build. It may not have a lot of the fancier new machines but it will be as nice as I can make it using wind and solar, if I can not damn a nice creek and put in a water powered generator. Plus every old medical book I can find. We would make a well equipped frontier doc in a box. :P

I've not seen it first hand but have heard the old timers talk about self-appointed experts treating every cow problem as "hollow horn" or "hollow tail."
Also heard about a local 'expert' who tied up a mule that was "stopped up" and poured a soda bottle (glass bottle) full of hot grease and baking soda down the animal's throat trying to "unstop" the digestive system.

Oh my God ... :bigeye: That poor mule ... :scream: That kind of stuff is just a very small part of why I have no use for most people.
