You can flatten cow horn . Boiling it & flatten it out while it is hot. Need a press to keep it flat till it cools. Antler might work this way as well.

Seriously elk antlers are going for as much as real stag grips. Another great idea down in flames. I may have to start watching garage sales for deer antlers or something.

I dunno Rick, grips made out of that Elk Horn Dog Chew might be very forgiving to shoot. The softness of the material would give, taming recoil some. Plus, if times get hard, you could eat them.

@swampratt and @Matt Giroux helped me move and install a gun safe from Atwoods to my house in Yukon not long ago (Okay; so I mostly just watched as these two guys did all the work). Anyway, after we got the safe in position, we took a brewski-break and Matt and I were delighted to hear about Swampratt's Carp Patty recipe. Carp Patties...like Salmon Patties...only not.
