Lame explanation.

How about I go into more detail to satisfy you.

I have glassed with my rifle scope less than 5 times ever in 40 years of hunting so I feel no need for Binoculars.
I am usually in the thick woods where you can't shoot farther than 50 yards.
The times I did it were private land at dusk when coyotes were moving at the far treeline and I wanted to get a shot on one.
I see no issues with it where I hunt your hunt area may be different.

I sure as heck ain't trying to identify a person with a rifle scope and we do not have any trespassers where I hunt
fortunately.

If glassing the treeline at dusk to shoot a coyote is wrong then I be wrong.
My vision is 20/10 with my glasses on and has been for 30+ years.
I tell my optometrist do not screw up my prescription I like to see clear really far away.

Better.

Almost forgot, I always keep TP in the backpack also!!!

More important than ammo!

I have found that in a pinch, long socks work nicely if you don’t have TP handy. Long socks can give you two uses, and you’ll just end up with short socks. Or 4 total uses. Bonus uses (and comfort) if you wear sock liners.

honestly, sock liners are likely the best thing I’ve found the past decade. Get some, esp the ones with individual toes. They’re weird, but you life will change.

You have previously stated you are using a rifle as a binocular. There is no way to justify that or walk back poor judgment. If you find that a 28-ounce binocular (roughly the weight of most 10x42 roof prism binoculars) "are more weight I do not need to have," maybe a seat at a bingo table would be less exerting.

I use my scope all the time to see the far off tree line where I hunt (800+ yards), this is a problem? I'm the only person allowed to hunt this property so no visitors to worry about.

I always have binoculars and a pack. When antelope hunting I have a tripod, spotting scope, range finder, rear bag, ammo, knives, first aid kit, TP, ear muffs, 2-way radio (no cell service), and para cord. I glass with binoculars, evaluate with the spotting scope, and shoot with the rifle scope. My day pack can also double as a shooting aid in odd position shooting. When deer hunting on my dads place I still have my pack but many of the above items are not in it and I do all my glassing with my binoculars. There is a lot less movement with binoculars than swinging a rifle around plus my rifle weights about 18 pounds.

I’ve actually done away with any unnecessary auxiliary sighting equipment and exclusively use my riflescopes for long distance looking. I even use a scope on a dummy gun for bird watching. Helps me develop muscle memory.

Better not come down here in the Ouachitas then. Everybody local I know has scoped rifles and nobody I ever seen carried binoculars. High powered stuff is utterly useless in thick forest. Just pulls up a wall of trees on the end of your nose. Hunting rough country I don't plan on taking the whole dang hardware store, Terrain is simply too tough and would grind you down in two days.
Besides I'm a vet. I have pointed guns up to 5" at people, ships, Iranian boats, Russian aircraft, oil platforms and all manner of things I never was allowed to shoot but just stay trained on it and was begging PLEASE give me the order. Most times it never came.
