<edit> I don't want to fawn over the guy 'cause he grilled a burger for the safest staged photo op in Oklahoma political history and told PETA to f*** off.
Is that seriously all you think he has done?

He's the one pushing it from start to finish. He has plenty of influence over it and is touting it as how it's going to save our state. Considering the f00kup last year where the sheeple amended our state constitution to expand Medicaid based on Federal promises to help cover the costs... when the Federal .gov decides to renege on that promise, our state will be even more f00ked.

It's more selling out future taxpayers (and generations) to appease or pacify people who want .gov to supply, guarantee and control more and more and more of our lives.

I voted against it, and iirc it only passed in Tulsa and Oklahoma counties but that was enough I guess.

I’m proud to have him as our governor. And I think him grilling hamburgers with some beef ranchers near that pita billboard was hilarious. Publicity stunt or not. Even though I don’t know what he would be doing it for show for. He has kept his 2A promises and that is most important to me.

Where they bust the sod in South Tulsa County.
Privatizing Medicaid, forces all medical providers who accept Medicaid for children to also accept for adults, essentially... meaning disability. There's a reason why so many providers don't accept under-65 Medicare or over-18 Medicaid/Soonercare.

So government management of health care is better than private?

Financially, I'm not so sure our state is in a position to be bragging.
In an era where we pay a private organization for our own currency as a nation, when fed reserve representatives say “we can just make more money” or “we have endless money”, it’s pretty obvious it’s all fake and gay.
Culture trumps money. Money is fake, but culture is fragile and irreplaceable.

It’s funny you say that, but my VA healthcare is orders of magnitude better than my “high option” .gov employer health care plan.

Is it? For you, maybe. I just closed my practice to new V.A. patients because they're one of the WORST organizations to deal with.

I didn't drop all my current V.A. patients, but I'm not taking any new ones... enough is enough. Sorry, vets.

I didn’t even know that was a thing honestly, but I don’t blame you. I tore a quad tendon over my kneecap doing burpees and despite my doctor (on my private insurance) stating as much my insurance won’t approve an mri to see for sure until I’ve been immobilized for 6 weeks.
I called my local VA, took them the X-rays and sonograms snd the reply was “oh man let’s get you an mri, you may need surgery!”
So $400/month for nothing vs the VA where I have to wait a bit but I’ll get care.
Told my wife we need to get divorced and put her and the kids on the public dole. It may not be great care but right now I’m paying for no care at all lol.

It's sad... I agree our vets should have better care. Yes, some folks have had great experiences, I know Dennis has been pretty happy with his V.A. care. I just know from OUR side, they make the hoops to jump through so difficult and you can't get a straight answer and you get a different answer every time you call... it's immensely frustrating. Not to mention the times I've been stiffed due to their runaround paperwork mess.

Like this...

We got a notification about April 10th that 6 of my V.A. patients' annual authorizations were being canceled. Apparently the V.A. office was changing their address, so the authorization we had for July 1-June 30 would no longer be valid. The problem was, when we got this notification (again, like Apr 10), it was dated for March 31st. During that interim 10d I think I had already seen 3 of those patients for regular checkups or something or other. Which means, those claims will be denied as having 'no authorization for care'. No appeal, no nothing. I've had this happen before.

Sorry for the vets, but eff the V.A.
