High-capacity hard drives are higher than the guy in the back of Willie Nelson's tour bus while Snoop Dogg is visiting.

I bought 20 14TB drives for $249ea. back in early March. I just bought five of the same drive for $489ea. last week because they were quantity-limited, so that's all I could order. I bought five more this week, and they were up to $499ea.

Yeah, in two and a half months, they've increased in price by more than 100% while simultaneously becoming harder to get. So, yay.
I have to upgrade to an SSD or a new hard drive. My current HD is in the process of failing. Some days it won't even start up on the laptop and some days it will start up and show 100% disk usage being so slow that it's almost impossible to log on.
The longer I stay online the disk usage goes away until about midnight when it starts running normal again.
I've googled why my hard drive is showing 100% usage, gone through an hour of deleting files etc. The HD starts working normally halfway through, or I can just wait and it finally starts working normally.
Kind of like our bedroom fan. I can turn on the switch and it won't start. 5 minutes later it comes on.
I can take it apart with some lube applied on the bearings and get it going for another year.

On the construction side of things,

Any thing resin related will see shortages or higher prices, OSB, LVLs, engineered I joists, pvc pipe, both pressure pipe and conduit, plastic electrical boxes, metal for roofing etc.

Most lumber will continue to see rising prices.

Hand tools, wrenches, sockets etc are drying up.

Just a few items I deal with daily.

You can think crypto idiots stocking up for a new crypto that isn’t even being mined yet.

For my work, numerous tablets, displays, laptops, servers, switches, printers, MFP’s, parts, and supplies from various manufacturers are on indefinite back order. a big problem is the port issue.

This one may just be me, but I've noticed a slight shortage of ammo. Don't know for sure though, I could be going crazy.

It's just you. Plenty of ammo at the gun show. Have paperwork signed for pre-approved loan at the bank before you go. :rollingla

Right now my only main shortage issue is trying to find a few screws and parts for an old discontinued Thompson Center muzzleloader. You know the kind, the ones that they sold back in the 80s with that "Lifetime Warranty". Ha.
I am currently using a spring out of a ball point pen inside the rear sight. It works, but man is that a cornbread fix after a notorious sproing incident. And, what kind of idiot designs a sight with a spring inside when most other models have a simple worm screw for adjustment.?

I guess this is a rarity issue more than a shortage issue. We need some more gun parts businesses besides Numerich. Used to have a Brownells' catalog you could get just about anything. Everything is moving to throw away and no support I guess.
