Mine isn’t a dislike of Kimber, it’s just the ones that come with the Schwartz safety. They did have some QC for a stretch but that’s been a long time ago.

I can't reason why someone would dislike a Kimber.

External extractor issues... brand new ones with improperly tensioned internal extractors, so bad it won’t even load rounds.

I know people who have had minor issues with their Kimbers, but I’ve owned several and never had an issue with any of mine. I’ve had series 1 and 2 guns. Maybe I’m just lucky.

At least that seems to be the case for me… never even shot any of my Kimbers. Just look at them often. Lmao

Well, I’m a shooter not a collector, so that sentiment doesn’t apply to me. All my guns get shot, but I will admit I shoot some more than others.

Kimber got a bad rap when they tried 4 different redesigns of the External Extractor. It was a disaster. Personally, I won't own a Series II gun because I hate that safety, I've seen it fail if that little pin breaks off. However, I think the non series guns, like their 10mms, Warriers, and the Super carry that Adam has, is pretty darn sexy. The older CDPs with an honest radius/melt job were really cool too.

I’ve never had any issues with my Stainless Target II, and it’s fired thousands of rounds.
It was my limited gun in USPSA matches for a year before moving to a higher capacity .40.
Had to do a lot of mag changes! Lol.

I guess cost is subjective, but they aren't expensive guns. The reason I no longer own any is because of the two I had, I couldn't make it through a single magazine on either without it jamming. Even my factory "match" guns that were made with even tighter tolerances could go better than that. Once those were broken in with a couple hundred rounds, those worked flawlessly. The two Kimber's still did not.
