I just ordered 1,600 rounds of Federal Champion .22LR for $155.98, tax included and with FREE Shipping. That's .0975 cents per round.

Thanks for the heads up! I appreciate it! I needed some more Steel Challenge ammo!

and my 3k rounds of .22 that I probably paid $0.04
10 or so years ago

Me too. After the last drought in 22LR ammo, I stocked up. Last five or years, I would pick up 100-500 rounds every other week. Sitting on over 7,500 rounds. Really not a lot given at any range setting, it’s pretty easy to go through 100-200 rounds.

About .02 a round cheaper, and you could consider that a good deal.
I think for the next while it will be a good deal. Every time we do this cycle the cost goes up but never goes back down to pre-scare price. The manufacturers in many ways can look at their sales data and say "Yup, they'll still pay it". I personally think it's going to hold steady in the 5-6cpr range for the next few months, maybe dip to the 4-5 range. BUT that depends if the current administration wants to pander to the idiots in their party that hate guns. That'd just ruin everything. In the meantime, the extra 4 bucks per 325 count is well worth it IMHO.
