I’ve bought several new Ford vehicles (different dealerships) but have always had my Ford vehicles serviced by the Edmond Ford dealership (currently on Memorial Road). There have been a few renditions of this dealership - Prestige, Reynolds, and now Joe Cooper Ford.

Last week, I had service performed on my truck but was disappointed to see that they have now placed a no firearms posting at their Service entrance doors. I sent them an email regarding this posting and the fact that they have now created a “soft target” for criminals and mentally ill people to do harm to good / innocent people. I told them that I will not be back to this dealership unless these postings are removed. I hope others will do the same.

They used to see guns in cars ALL THE TIME at the BMW dealer up there when in for service. Nobody thought a thing about it. Guess most places are getting woke now. I'd just carry and not worry about it. They spot it and say something, that's the time to tell them why you won't be back and learn to conceal better.

I hear you and agree to some extent. I’ll carry anyway and doubt anybody would know. But, I want these businesses to know how asinine their postings are.

Kinda like the folks that get “triggered” when seeing American flags or MAGA hats? They are likely seeing a large reduction in premium costs by putting up that sign. I’m with those that say just carry and ignore the sign.

Sometimes we tend to be in the Woke or Cancel Culture mindset, but on the opposite end of the spectrum.

For me, if I want their goods or service, its not worth getting upset about.

Besides, I keep hoping that I’ll see that little lady that asks, “Who loves ya Oklahoma?”.

usually insurance related. I wouldn't take it personally or "follow directions".

Doesn't OK have a law about insurance in this respect? Something to the effect insurance companies cannot require this or raise rates if firearms are not prohibited on the property or something? Seems like I remember something like that...
