Does any one recommend a 9mm AR adaptor that does not cost over $100 or should I just get a 9mm lower.

I am pretty disappointed with the Stern Defense adapter for Glock. Stove pipes and double feeds really bad. And that was an expensive POS... Not sure why I seen to have been the only one with this problem as all my research before and after buying the Stern Defense indicated that was a pretty good adapter. All that being said, the Endomag by Mean Arms is definitely the way to go. All my problems are resolved and wished I had discovered that before getting an adapter. Way cheaper! I'd recommend watching the Mean Arms videos on YouTube before you get one and a PMAG. There are some 9mm BCGs from various vendors that are not compatible.

i have one in a spikes lower that takes colt smg magazines. works fine but it isn't the one you can just slide in and out. you have to partially disassemble the lower to install or remove but it works without flaw

My Stern Defense Glock adapter works really well on my PCC build. In all fairness, I went a few other Stern Defense parts in that build as well, including their SD BU9 NiB Echo BCG. Mine runs like a champ. I'm sorry to hear you had issues.

If I were doing a build now I'd just get a 9mm lower. When I built my first one they weren't out yet or were really pricey so I went with a Hahn block and Colt pattern mags. It runs great and the Colt mags are much easier to reload but Glock mags are cheap and abundant. You can get lowers in other mag patterns too if you wish. Got a Beretta 92 or M&P with a pile of mags? There's a lower out there for that. Also other calibers with appropriate mags and upper can be used on one lower in some cases. It's pretty much a no brainer now.

i think my adapter is a Hahn also. i remember that as a top loading adapter you don't have to be concerned that you will eject the adapter with mag change. i built another 9mm on the new frontier receiver when they first came out and it uses glock magazines. i like it also and shadowrider is correct about glock mags. but since the question was about the adapters just get one that installs from the top and you should be good to go

Cmmg makes a full a size AR15/M16 magazine that you can put the 9 in. No mag block needed. Pretty neat concept. They also sell just the insert. Of interest is they make them for 5.7 also.

The great thing about endo mags is that you don't lose the ability to quick change calibers. Just swap the complete upper and mags and you're good to go under 30 seconds. That's pretty dang nice imho.
