I have been buying Brooks for the last several years.I talked some serious runners years ago at the Tulsa run and they convinced me to give them a try.Brooks have good support and hold up well.
My now ex used to run 120 miles per week, just for fun. Brooks was her choice for running shoes.

I'll still buy Nike simply because they are the only shoe I have found that holds up for me. I've tried others and they last maybe a year before falling apart but Nike's seem to last me longer. As for workboots, Redwings are ok, but I miss my Timberland Pro's. Unfortunately Timberland doesn't make climbers any more (specific boot for climbing poles that has a steel shank the length of the sole, 1" 90 degree locking heels and the right height on the upper) so I have to settle for Redwings.

I haven’t bought Nike stuff in years and won’t. I have a few pair of Chucks but that’s it. And I’ve had them years. I don’t wear them that often as I don’t go many places. And when at work I wear whatever is comfortable at boot barn. I am wearing Cody James boots and they are very comfortable. They look like tennis shoes.

I bought some Hey Dudes and they are the most comfortable light weight shoes. Actually they are Lam brand, a knock off of hey dudes but you cant tell the difference other than $20 cheaper.
