Gorgeous evening in Point TX.
I took this one on the evening of June 5th looking west from Norman. I wish the building wasn't in the way, but the sky was awe inspiring that evening. I had just driven through that storm on my way to Norman. The picture really doesn't do it justice.
I forgot to add.... For anyone who doesnt know what delay line memory is. It is an early type of memory that stores data physically by the way of twist or other oscillation traveling down the wire. Imagine a length of rope along the ground. Whip one end and the resulting wave will continue to travel down the length. at any given time you could have multiple pulses in the length of rope at the same time. When it reaches the end the data is read and must be re-inserted into the wire or it is lost. Pretty cool huh!
I can’t remember if I have posted this one in the past. Here is an early picture of a building our company purchased in early 2013 (I think that is the year). It was the first synagogue in Tulsa. Vacant for years. In 2009 Bums broke inside and built a fire in the basement to try and keep warm. Got out of hand and burnt all to the ground instead of the brick you see. This is after it sat open to the elements for about 4 years. It’s currently a finished building with all that brick still in place. Fun fact. Those poles in the center still standing are repurposed WWI gun barrel forgings hard as stone and terribly thick
