Elk City gunshow today was bad IMO, probably more overpriced ammo and reloading components than guns, powder in METAL cans (30 year old stuff) selling for $40/lb not to mention people selling PARTIAL pounds of powder...I wouldn't touch partials from someone I didn't know for free! I did see a box of 41 Mag with the silvertip bullets, guessing from 90's maybe, 20 or 25 count for $94!

:cry11::laugh6: someone get caught with they're pants down ? What if the "gouging" doesn't stop in this upside down world ? What if it only gets worse ??
Hate to be a Negative Nancy but with inflation from all the money printing going on, even if things return to "normal" for ammo I will be surprised to see widespread prices anywhere near as low as before. 😞

I believe that everyone who buys ammunition needs to take a pause… Recently I attended a gun show in Tulsa an observed ammo prices 3 to 4 times higher than normal. Everyone needs to stop buying the over priced ammunition and force things back to normal... Additionally, as a result prices will fall and the shortages will end…

Nah, no need to pause.....retail is high... but not that bad..... just stop going to gun shows.

I haven't been to a gun show in 30 years, but I've heard they've gotten bad. If you need ammo, use a price site like ammoseek to see who has what you want and check the reviews to see if you want to buy from them. I got 9mm for $18/50 shipped yesterday, using this method. The ammo is there, you just have to put some effort into finding some that your willing to buy. I don't think it will get back down to pre panic levels just because of inflation, but I suspect it will get a little lower.
so you think $18 for 50 rds is decent? -- it has dropped from 30-40-50 only a few months back and is continuing to drop
I think it will be back to pre biden prices rather soon - and there will be a ton of ammo stored by those who have been buying at these crazy levels
223 ammo is back to around $10-12/box-20 already and that is for the dreaded "assault weapon" ammo
many sites are asking lookers to give their email to be notified when in stock -- most likely just testing the market
this isn't the first time ammo/components has gone crazy and it won't be the last JMO

"Normal" that word should be dropped and extinct, when or if DJT finds his rightful seat again you may see prices return to near before but as long as "the" plan is still underway it ain't happening.. Ya best suck it up and buy what you need or want while you can do so..
