Picked up a Shield Plus the other day and decided since I haven't shot pistol in a while, a class might be in order. How are the courses at Wilshire, because that is normally where I shoot?

I didnt have the pistol course at Wilshire but I did took the AR15 class trained by Will Andrews. Learn a bit about the history of the rifle, learn how to disassemble and clean and the lube area on the rifle/bolt carrier group. Had to buy the ammo (understandable) and they provided ear protection and safety glasses. Will helped everyone sight in the rifle. I was pleased with the course. My only complaint at the time is I wish they tech you how to clear a jam. Over all I enjoy the class and the instructor Will Andrews.

I took that class a while ago and really enjoyed it. There was a pretty wide range of experience in the group between people who’d just bought or were looking to buy their first handgun to fairly experienced shooters. It wasn’t Will Andrews teaching this one when I went and I forgot the mans name but he did a great job.

I've taken a few classes with Will Andrews. As an instructor, he is damn good. They book so many people in his classes, that it's hard to get the one on one someone needs, but you should enjoy it.

I took his pistol marksmanship classes when I switched to Micro Auto's. Was a big help.

I've taken multiple classes including Pistol Fundamentals at Wilshire. I'm still pretty new, so caveat is that I don't know what I don't know, but I had a good experience. Instructor was Rebecca King.

Echo what everyone else has said about Will Andrews. I've not taken a class proper with him, but I went to several of his "Pistol Clinic" sessions on Friday afternoons prior to them being suspended. Excellent teacher.

What do these classes run. I know my shooting sucks unless I am doing close range combat style shooting and even that I am way out of practise on, and the wife has very little experience with a gun.

The fundamentals class is $50 and the next two classes in the series are $100, so not bad at all.
