So following majority advice on bed liners, the wife and I stopped at the Linex place on Kelly in Edmond, which is now Bullet liner. While talking to the guy, the wife saw tonneau covers. She wants one.

I have always had shells never tonneau covers. So school me please.

We are considering semi solid roll up versus fold up. Pros and cons? Types of material? Do these things leak water or dust?

Brands/features prefered? Brands/features to avoid?

I cannot remember the brand, was likely a big brand name, but my buddy had/has a roll up hard cover for his truck. It rolled on a track, had a latch and lock. He runs a detailing business, so that cover gets opened and closed at least once or twice per job, and he might have 5-6 jobs a day, 6 days a week. He’s had the cover on his truck for at least 3 years now. Has held up just fine, prevents 90% or more water and dust intrusion, and is definitely enough to keep the opportunistic criminal out.

i really like them because of the aforementioned things, but they also look nicer and take up less space than other designs. You Can have it left open for big stuff, as opposed to having a one piece cover.

I've had soft roll up, hard roll up and two brands hard folding over the years with various trucks. The only one I have ever bought more than one of is the one on my 6 yr old truck today. A Flex brand hard folding. All have worked well but I like it best. Price was a consideration on my first and it worked better than those twice as expensive. No contest for my second one. Made by Undercover..
