Custom barrel for a Browning AB3

I’ve asked similar questions on this before, but I really am clueless to where I need to start, so I’ll give as specific info as I can. I have a basically new Browning AB3, it’s 2 years old, had in the neighborhood of 50 rounds. It has what I’d call a thin-walled 22” barrel, with a 1:10 twist. The rifle that would answer my wants, is the Hell’s Canyon, but I feel I can get what I need without paying $1200 plus for the HC. JJ I want at least a 24”, with now slower than a 1:8 twist, threaded. Looking at the replacement barrels on websites is too confusing, so I’m thinking talking FTF with a local gunsmith, will get me the answers I need. I know there are gunsmiths in the OKC area, but I don’t know which ones actually do what I’m wanting. I’m not sure if I need a factory barrel, or if I’d need a smithy to make on from scratch…ideas, advice, etc.?

Also, I’m wanting it cerakoted they same color as the HC. Ballpark cost for Cerakote?

My two cents worth: By the time you buy a barrel and have it fit to your action and have it threaded, Cerakoted etc and wait to have it all done, you'd be better off to sell what you have and buy the HC. You will have probably close to if not more money in converting your rifle than a new HC will cost you.

That’s what I was afraid of…I found the Savage 10T-SR, it has a 24”, 1:8, heavy threaded barrel, which at $600, other than cerakote cost, seems to have most everything I’m wanting. Also read last night that Browning barrels are tough to remove. At that cost, I could even have one ready for this season.

I'd get the Savage. They are underrated as far as accuracy. And yes, a buddy of mine FUBAR'd a Browning action trying to get the barrel off.
