Remington 12 ga. Express loads are 1,330 fps. and most 1 oz. loads @ 1,600 fps. have a relatively low pressure level, depending of course on the specific loads.
I think you made a typo. One ounce loads aren’t anywhere close to 1600 FPS. The 3-1/2” BB’s I shoot at late season honkers only come out at 1550FPS.

No typo. I was referring to high performance reloads and not factory loads.

7/8 oz. STEEL shot loads can be pushed to 2,000 fps., but their performance on game and the pattern board is no better than a 1,650 fps. load, as that is the velocity of my three 2 3/4" STEEL shot loads. They kill and pattern very well out to 60 yards when pass shooting, or over decoys with a change in choke tubes.

My apologies for getting off topic.

I was talking about off the shelf 1oz cheap target loads, not custom loaded whatever’s. I’m just going to bow out to the self proclaimed power. Im in over my head.

Since I own a Yildiz OU I did some research on barrel monobloc failure. Seems like a common problem not only with Yildiz but also the big buck guns as well. Most guns today are assembled using Loctite 638 which is made to be used on assemblies like these barrels. 638 is high temp high strength, solder temp is usually under 500 deg F and I'm guessing a barrel could easily go higher after shooting fifty shells or so.
Do a search on Google monobloc barrel failure lots of info.

Maybe that's what happened? I'm sure a reputable Smith can fix it.
