I have mixed feelings. A 96 year old former secretary to a Nazi death camp commander skips out before her trial on 11,000 counts of being an accessory to murder. It's interesting but would putting her on trial accomplish anything? I have mixed feelings. If she really killed people, fine. Put her on trial. But it sounds like she's being tried simply because she worked at the camp. So I'm just a little torn on this one. Part of me says let the old lady die in peace. She's 96. It's quite possible she wouldn't even survive the trial. What if the strain of the trial is too much for her, she's acquitted and then dies from the added stress. Is that right?
