I have mixed feelings. A 96 year old former secretary to a Nazi death camp commander skips out before her trial on 11,000 counts of being an accessory to murder. It's interesting but would putting her on trial accomplish anything? I have mixed feelings. If she really killed people, fine. Put her on trial. But it sounds like she's being tried simply because she worked at the camp. So I'm just a little torn on this one. Part of me says let the old lady die in peace. She's 96. It's quite possible she wouldn't even survive the trial. What if the strain of the trial is too much for her, she's acquitted and then dies from the added stress. Is that right?

Too many questions. Interested to hear what others think:

She was a secretary and not even 21. I feel trying her for helping murder all those people is a stretch and 75 years later is pushing it. She will probably die before the trial could be completed anyway. Now a guard or something I can see trying but not a secretary.

Seems stupid to me. All about virtue signaling. Why wasn't it handled at some point over the last 75 years if Justice is what they are seeking.

One quote was good, saying her flight should affect her punishment. Oh no, the 96 year old lady will get 50 years now instead of 20. Isn't pretty much any sentence a life sentence at this point?
