Ammo at Academy

In an attempt to get this forum back on the subject of firearms, Academy in Norman has a very large stock of ammunition in most calibers and at better prices than we have been seeing. There is a limit of a total of four boxes, but it is there!

Then you may not be getting any…. I’m just reporting what I saw this morning. FMJ 9mm @ about $18 per 50 and 380 @ about $26 per 50. Large amount of both

My academy has had 9mm for several months at those prices and even some in aluminum and steel cases for even less.

I'm still not buying any at those prices and their prices on .22lr are ridiculous.

I've been buy all the .22lr I want for about 5.7 cents a round for months now at Walmart.

But wait.....We are not supposed to like Walmart. I'm not telling you to go to Academy. I just reported that they had a large inventory on hand, at prices that are reasonable for the current market.

We get more like Facebook everyday on here.

Why aren't we supposed to like Walmart ? I guess I didn't get that memo.

I like them as long as I can buy all the .22lr I want at under 6 cents a round because I'm shooting the crap out of that stuff since I don't want to shoot up my 9mm.

And my only point about Academy is that is the same prices they have had for several months now and I'm not paying that for it either. They need to get it down, and they have not gone down since they put the ammo back on the shelf and raised the limits to 4 boxes.

my buddy snagged a case of shotgun shells that were incorrectly labeled as a single box. $9.99 for the whole case.

Shouldn't that be "stole 11 boxes of shotgun shells" instead of "snagged a case of shotgun shells"? Guess I just don't have the morals to knowingly walk out with $100 free when it has to be a mistake. NOW, if you bring it up to the cashier and he/she says something like "I don't price them I just ring it up" then take it. If he/she scans and shows 9.99 then take it.

I am making an assumption he just saw it marked incorrectly, didn't say anything until got in his vehicle then fist pumping air.

Completely agree with you. I'm not interested in stealing for a measly $100.
