In reality though this is parenting and the education system besides the Bible predicted where we would be in the last days and sure enough we are there.

It just cracks me up when people go on and on about how horrible people look dressed like this, or with that personal adornment or whatever. I couldn't care less what your personal fashion choices are, as long as you are an upstanding member of society and treat people in a respectable manner. If you are at work, as long as you do your job properly I couldn't care less if your arm pit hair dangles to your shoes and you have Mickey Mouse tattooed on your neck. Some say that it's not "professional" to have long hair, beards, tattoos or piercings. I say what isn't professional is judging others on their outward appearance rather than their actual abilities.

Judging by some of these comments, a lot of you would just really not like me on appearance alone. H8ll, except for the long hair I have pretty much everything most are complaining about in here. And I'd possibly still have long hair, except for that danged balding gene that apparently did not skip me. Oh, and I'm 47, so I'm not necessarily a "youth" but I sure don't feel as old and crotchety as some of the people on here act.

BK…..I have to draw the line Prince Albert ….other than that I couldn’t care less. I agree with you 100% appearance doesn’t matter it’s what’s in you heart that matter.

I don't have a problem with someone having a Prince Albert. I do, however, have a problem with someone showing me that they have one. :angry3:

I have to admit I did have a tat years ago. I had a very small set of lips on my right a$$ cheek with "Kiss It" right above it. I like to say I had it removed but honestly I had no say in the matter. One ticked off German Shepard and a skin graft later and you REALLY have to look for where it was.

Oh as far as the price of shaving cartridges, any of the tried the Bic Hybrid? $6 for the handle and 4 blades. When used up, buy another. They give me a pretty decent shave.

I'm 57. Born 1964. Final year of the Boomer generation.

Have you noticed people are not nearly as well-dressed, well-mannered and well-spoken as they used to be? I remember the times when beards were the exception and not the rule. I remember when only bikers and sailors wore tattoos. I remember ladies and gentlemen. I remember when "Mr." and "Mrs." were common. America needs a good old-fashioned spanking. England and other nations have followed this slum-look fashion too.
I'm 75, I think? I guess things, and people must change, even if it for the worse? I have seen some drastic changes in everything in all that time. We have more money, leisure time, better cars, medicine, homes, communications, etc. but we have worse, schools, cities, morals, respect for EVERYTHING, other people, our nation, the rule of law, religion, etc! Is that a net gain, I seriously doubt it! I think, and am seldom if evver wrong, we as a people have fallen victim being an affluent society! The curse of being wealthy is, we produce more SOILED BRATS! Even the poorest people in America are producing spoiled brats! The definition of a spoiled brat is someone that, thinks everyone in the world revolves around them, and their wishes! Someone that DEMANDS what they want, and have temper tantrums in the department store ( a public place) to embarrass their parents into giving them their way! Is that not what is happening here? RIOTS, at the drop of a hat, for any excuse, made as public as possable to embarrase the government/society, into giving them their way? I'm glad we are so prosperous, THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF LIVING IN HUMAN HISTORY, but like everything else, it comes with baggage! Many consider my parents generation the GREAT GENERATION! They we subject to some of the greatest challenges, of any generation in history, the great Depression, and WW2! Did being FORCED to deal with all that adversity, force them to become people that were up to any challenge, and make them the GREAT GENERATION? This, and any other, generation of Americans would rise to become a GREAT GENERATION, IF FORCED TO!

Just yesterday evening I was shooting in a pool tournament,,,
This was held at a nice college town watering hole.

Over half the men were wearing t-shirts as an outer garment,,,
And sloppy/droopy shorts with flip-flops for shoes.

I remember sitting there and thinking,,,
How do these men ever attract women?

If a man would have appeared in public dressed like that in my time (I'm dang near 70),,,
He would have been laughed right out of the establishment.

Hey, this is America and a person can dress any way they want to,,,
But why do they dress like slovenly bums by their own choice?

I'm ashamed of them.

When Sweetie and I moved into our new house ('75), things were really tight. I was a fledgling mechanic (at 19), she wasn't working at the time (though she had been), and we'd been paying rent where we lived plus house payments once the deal went through.

So... we ate a lot of beans & cornbread & 'taters until we more/less got back on our feet. Luxuries (like groceries) were bought AFTER we paid the bills.

We were talking about it later with my folks, and Mom wanted to know why we didn't say anything, because she would have gladly bought us some groceries. We hadn't went hungry, nor had any utilities shut off (not even our phone). It simply never crossed my mind to ask for help.

The general mindset is so different now...

Just because you’re a nancy boy who can’t grow facial hair, that’s no reason to be jealous of those of us who can.

And yeah, I’ve changed tires, started fires, and killed animals that needed killing. I had long hair in the Rona Times, but no tattoos or piercings. And I haven’t shaved at all since January 1st. I have quite the epic beard going, and no intention of shaving it again, ever.
