The fireplace store in Moore, I believe it is called The Hearth Shop?

They did an amazing job on my fireplace, ripped out the old stone fireplace and had them install a ventless model with stacked stone from floor to ceiling and they did a great job.

Here, but occasionally There.
I have a gas line in the firebox but I also burn wood in it so it's not quite a complete changeover, gas is already there.

Did they also install? Good looking fire, I'm assuming you enjoyed it.

Yes. They came out and installed it, and yes, we enjoyed it, although we've not seen cold enough weather since then to really try it out. Especially so if one was to lose electricity.

Hate to disappoint everyone with a non-political post, but.....

I want to update/remodel my fireplace and looking for any suggestions or experience with any local sellers. I'll be replacing my current gas/wood box with a dedicated gas fireplace with logs. I also want to add stone/tile to the wall as well as on the floor in front of the fireplace and add a new mantle, something with a floating live edge look to it.

We went to Rick's House of Fire and looked over their units. Seemed like a nice setup they proposed, it was a 25K BTU Fireplace Xtrordinair unit. They don't do tile work but have subs they use.

I was only able to get a cost window and it was pretty wide, anywhere from $5K - $7K for install, which does not include any tile work or electrician work for the lights and gas hookup. I can do the tile work, but have a tendency to be a bit slow to get things past the finish line so was looking at installers for that but have not had any luck finding one through word of mouth. Previous guy I've used is out as well as two guys he pointed me toward.

- Any input on Rick's? Prices about as expected or prices kind of high?
- Any other dealers/installers around town worth talking with for this? Looking for a place with a showroom..
- Any suggestions for a tile installer? It would be wall and floor.

Thanks.
Guy's name is Daniel from MWC. He just finished the bathroom in my house. I just asked him if giving you his number was OK.

I have been looking for someone here in the Tulsa area most of them are sheisters, 7600 to install a wood burning insert seems a little excessive to me

That's what I'm trying to decide. If they're all high, are they all shysters or all they just charging the going rate?
