Beautiful morning! Looking forward to watching some "Bedlam" this evening. We listed our home this past week, had 11 visits Wed, Thur, and Friday. Received 9 offers, 3 of them were over asking price, with two of those in cash. Signed the offer last evening and that deal is done. Now the moving starts!

In Jefferson Tx today working our way home from Louisiana.
Never heard of this small town before but it’s really fantastic.
Lots of Civil War history, Victorian architecture, ghost tours, some outside on trails through the cypress swamps.
Several really nice restaurants, some upscale, some pub style. Lots of B&B’s.
If we come through this area again we will certainly spend a couple full days.
Three weeks in South Central Louisiana showed us we like that area.
Really friendly folks that are the salt of the earth and have no problem with being called a Coon A$$. They actually wear that title proudly.
Go out of their way to be friendly to folks from other states.
8 of us stopped in a little bar adjacent to the Atchafilia NWR swamp that had been in existence since 1952.
Current owner is the daughter of the original owners.
One of the girls in our group asked where the best Jambalaya could be had. We found out the standard answer is “my house!”
Liz said if we came back tomorrow, she had a lady to make some and we could cost share it.
She invited friends of hers and a one man band for entertainment so it turned into a fun party with the locals teaching the ladies some dance techniques to Cajun zydeco music.
We had a heck of a party and left with some new friends that also have RV’s who will be meeting with us on lake Texoma in the spring.
Friends, Music and food is the CoonAss tradition. Not a bad life.
Great times.........RV'n is a great life style....adventures in new places, new friends and never a dull moment.......

Here, but occasionally There.
Good morning, All. Good news on the sale of the home.

Wife, son and I ironed out what we will go see in Alabama. First night will be in Winfield, AL, which is near Alabama's "Natural Bridge" so we can go see that before heading south towards Mobile and the East Shore. (Following pictures were NOT taken by me.)

Mobile area things to see are Battleship Park with the USS Alabama, the USS Drum, and a number of airplanes and other military equipment. In addition to Battleship Park, we will also visit two old forts, one at the east end of Dauphin Island (Fort Gaines) and the other at the west end of Fort Morgan (Fort Morgan.) Both of those forts were to protect Mobile Bay's entrance.

Then we plan to head north with plans to visit Ruby Falls near Chatanooga, TN, which is a 145-foot waterfall within a cavern.

I'm really anxious to get in some camera time. Ruby Falls will probably require me to carry two cameras; my Nikon Z6, which is very good in low light situations, and the Nikon D810, which is the only camera I have that has a built in flash.
