I went to the gun show and saw something kind of shady. At least I think so. There’s a guy selling his “private collection” pieces. He had a Hi point 9mm for $349.00. I’m thinking that he has marked it up because people who wouldn’t pass a background check would buy from him since he doesn’t have to do the FFL thing for private sales. It’s like he’s knowingly selling a gun to someone who shouldn’t have one but making them pay extra for the work around.

Meh. Background checks are unconstitutional.

All guns should be cash and carry anyway.

Define good gun shows. As far as I'm concerned , shows full of AR and Glock / plastic pistols stuff are not good shows. I don't even look at those tables.
Me too.

I'm there for the secondary market. More than half the time I leave with something.

If I'm buying new, I order from online and have it shipped to Sooner State.

I have never understood why people buy new at a gunshow, nearly everyone one of those "dealers" are at least 25% higher than a store like Academy or Atwood's on the same thing.

There are a LOT of people that have more money than they have good sense, and you also have those that are too lazy, ignorant, or whatever to research pricing before they make a purchase.

In my experience, most all of the good deals are from people walking around that brought a firearm to trade or sell, not those that have their wares set up on a table.

Thats what the dealers count on.

Funny thing: my gf and I were at the Wanenmacher show a couple years ago. We saw a new-to-us Sig 365 on a dealer’s table. I don’t recall the price tag while we were handling the pistol, but I remarked to my gf that it seemed high. She pulled out her cell phone, and the dealer immediately took the Sig back from me, cabled it back up, and walked away.
