Here's what I do:
1. Home repairs and upgrades. Love slinging mud and doing electrical, plumbing, etc. Hate painting, but I do it anyway because it makes the wife happy.
2. Get the boat out and fish every lake in oklahoma. This was a fun one I started with my daughter but blew a motor just before corona hit so this week I'm pullling the head and rebuilding it. That's my hobby for Christmas Break.
3. Working on rent houses. New and exciting stuff every time you add one to the herd. You wouldn't believe the crap some people do and call it "good nuff".
4. Work on old trucks. I have a love of old original cars and trucks that has unfortunately infected my middle daughter. So her and I turn wrenches when we get free time and parts come in the mail from the parts fairy.
5. Animal Husbandry. Oklahoma lets you have chickens. Love 'em. danged old birds are more like dogs that we give 'em credit for. They'll snuggle up to you while you're outside too just to get attention. Plus if you cut 'em open, there's chicken inside!
Ducks are about the same, you can raise pheasant and quail too. Or Llamas and beef, pork. Whatever. Animals are fun in all shapes and sizes.
6. Pick a kid or grandkid and see what they're wanting to do when they grow up. If it's interesting, explore it with them! My youngest wants to build robots so we come up with new and exciting little robo-projects to do from time to time as it comes up. They love it, I love it, and it's great for bonding.
7. Walk through Homo Depot and see if anything rings a bell .You might decide "It's been 10 years since i replaced that water heater, probably better do that" or "Those big planks of cedar are sweet! I could make a ________ out of those!" Buy em and get started! If you mess up, who cares?
8. Hunting is still a thing in America. You can go out and blast a deer, turkey, pheasant, heck, even some antelope or elk! Go hunt and get your gun skills up.
9. Check Craigslist and FlabbyBook for things for sale that you can fix. "I sure wish I had a leaf vacuum. Hey, here's one on Facebook! It only needs a new gas line. I better go get that before someone else does!" This can go on forever.
10. Woodworking is fun. You can build tables, toys, knick knacks, all kinds of cool things. If you're good at it you can even sell 'em on Evilbay.

There's always something you can do to stay busy. I like to make lists so I'm not stuck sitting around on the couch, and I hate surprises. So I plan my day around the project and that usually does a good job of getting me started. From there it's easy to stay engaged.
Good luck1

Become a Range Safety Officer (RSO) and join a range. Tri City Gun club in Norman has retired guys out there all the time making sure the suburbanites don't accidently shoot themselves or someone else.
