LULZ

edited, the price went up since October by $23.89 for the American.

I found it for 13.50 online. U.S. healthcare is stoopid.

Which of those countries would you rather live in? And pay taxes in for that free/low-cost prescription?

Not to mention, having no insurance is a choice you make. I understand it may be expensive...but it's still a choice.

And looking at web prices for that drug you're paying WAY too much...

$17k in premiums for a $16k out of pocket and a $12k deductible after all of which pays 80%? (Today’s best quote)

Nah, that’s no choice.

20% higher taxes for single payer would be fine by me. Americans pay over a trillion dollars more yearly in copays and co insurance than single payer would cost. We’ve been bamboozled.

I’ll wait for the ”principled conservatives“ to show up here to call me a Bernie supporter/socialist/communist.

Links to cheaper statins please, seriously.

Thank you.

It is a choice. It's just not one you're willing to accept. You might be misguided for believing single-payer (ie: government run health care) is the way to go...but you're not a communist.

Keep in mind the government pretty much controls the health care market now thru regulation. And you don't seem to like that much. Yet you think more government control is the way to improve it? To be honest...that just doesn't make sense.

I like you. Maybe it’s because of the Corgi connection :)

So if you are a veteran, why didn't you go to your local VA medical facility for the medication? Even with co-pay it'd be far less than you paid. All you have to do is present yourself and the Rx and they'll rewrite it for filling in the VA Pharmacy.

Even though I’m not a retiree?

eta I checked on VA website, since I’m not disabled or a retiree they won’t fill my script.

Ok wow I just was able to upload my prescription and get 90 days from geniusRX . COM for 13.50.

I‘ll carry on now.

I’m 52, I’ve never been on meds before so all this is new to me.
