I wish my wife was more like my dog in certain ways... Every time I say something to my dogs they get this look on their face that says my words were the most profound thing they've ever heard and they always like it when I talk more. They're always very eager to listen to what I have to say.

That's rarely the case with wives...
Rarely is an under statement!

So my wife came home around noon and said we’re playing hookie for the rest of the day. We drove over to a town about an hour away for dinner (lunch for you city folks) and then went to a gun store that has a decent selection for around here. I did my best to take @THAT Gurl advice and keep my mouth shut. She handled the only two SA/DA revolvers that they had in stock, and also a S&W EZ 380. She did like the EZ, and she racked the slide with no problem. She is definitely keeping that as an option, but she still likes revolvers a little better. One revolver was a Rock Island, and the second was a Kimber K6S. I was hoping for a little better selection with at least a couple of options somewhere between the two in stock. Of course, she really liked the Kimber.

So I would really like to thank everybody that said take her shopping and let her pick the one she likes. Great advice! Now I’m searching the classifieds for a second job. Just joking. Seriously, I do appreciate everyone’s input, and we are going to keep looking. We’ll make it to OKC soon so she can actually shoot some and get some advice from the professionals.

My moms arthritis got really bad in her hands and couldn’t pull the trigger on her 642. She now has a 380 shield EZ. She racks the slide with ease and the trigger is easier than the DAO revolver
I can fix that trigger thingy on the 642......

Grumpy says his only regret over getting me into shooting is there was a day when I had no clue what he had and what he didn't. So he could buy, sell and trade on his whim. Now every time he posts something in the classifieds I ask him why the fook he is selling "that" without checking with me. 😂

I would counter that with he sure does like being able to say "I really like such and such" ... Or "that's a really good deal" and I make it happen for him. 😘

Buying a cheaper one that she does NOT like is actually more expensive. Ask me how I know.

Wife struggling to pull the trigger sounds like a problem 8 wouldn’t want to fix. I may say many dumb things I find funny.
